Not letting themselves be stranded on the sidelines, Mira began creating a diversion to gain the attention of the protectorate troopers patrolling the perimeter, not to mention a few nobles scions and reporters, while Lyra and Grendel escalated the Manour’s surrounding wall into the garden.

Inside, Jon saw the numerous Yulp House guards who fell facing the Gloom Haunt, and discovered that the decapitated body of Edgar Yulp has been moved, his hand have frozen by rigor mortis, visibly holding an object, now gone. As he made his way to interrogate the deceased’s wife, Grendel was spotted by an Arbites duo patrolling the grounds; using his connection with the now vexed Justicar Wake, he managed to evade the wrath of the Law and found a possible entry point in the attic of the manour, no doubt used by the vigilante to enter inside.
[20:37] <@BradGM> While Grendel and Lyra began climbing up the walls, Jon interviewed Lady Yulp, heavily drunk as a way to deal with the brutal murder of her husband under her very eyes, and proved unable to provide further information for the time being. Grendel made his way to the roof, having detected an anomaly.

Lyra managed to track down the entry path into the library, the Gloom Haunt first spotted right outside of the room by the house guards, and brought in her own expertise of combat to the investigation; The vigilante have extensive knowledge of Imperial Guard tactics, enough to be able to circumvent them with little to no consequences.
[20:38] <@BradGM> Jon also observed he clearly had no knowledge of the building’s room setup, as the bodies were not making a clear line to Yulp’s private quarters. While Jon and Lyra returned to the bedroom, Grendel discovered on the roof a powerful, yet strangely build jammer was present, explaining why it took hours before any warning was given of the attack.

Not letting themselves be stranded on the sidelines, Mira began creating a diversion to gain the attention of the protectorate troopers patrolling the perimeter, not to mention a few nobles scions and reporters, while Lyra and Grendel escalated the Manour’s surrounding wall into the garden.

Inside, Jon saw the numerous Yulp House guards who fell facing the Gloom Haunt, and discovered that the decapitated body of Edgar Yulp has been moved, his hand have frozen by rigor mortis, visibly holding an object, now gone. As he made his way to interrogate the deceased’s wife, Grendel was spotted by an Arbites duo patrolling the grounds; using his connection with the now vexed Justicar Wake, he managed to evade the wrath of the Law and found a possible entry point in the attic of the manour, no doubt used by the vigilante to enter inside.
[20:37] <@BradGM> While Grendel and Lyra began climbing up the walls, Jon interviewed Lady Yulp, heavily drunk as a way to deal with the brutal murder of her husband under her very eyes, and proved unable to provide further information for the time being. Grendel made his way to the roof, having detected an anomaly.

Lyra managed to track down the entry path into the library, the Gloom Haunt first spotted right outside of the room by the house guards, and brought in her own expertise of combat to the investigation; The vigilante have extensive knowledge of Imperial Guard tactics, enough to be able to circumvent them with little to no consequences.
[20:38] <@BradGM> Jon also observed he clearly had no knowledge of the building’s room setup, as the bodies were not making a clear line to Yulp’s private quarters. While Jon and Lyra returned to the bedroom, Grendel discovered on the roof a powerful, yet strangely build jammer was present, explaining why it took hours before any warning was given of the attack.
