Red lights cast an eerie glow over the otherwise dark interior as commissars silently patrol the walkways. 9th squad sits closest to the exit hatch with armour worn and weapons in hand, the rest of their gear being either above their heads or below their feet.

[20:39] * Mariel blinks, looking around at the garbled sound's source. A slightly concerned look on his face, the trooper turns to a fellow soldier strapped in on the same bench, nudging him with a padded elbow: 1"Hey, was that meant for us?"
[20:40] * @SergeantHolt frowns slightly as he tilts his head, straining to hear the voice over the intercom. The voice comes through the vox like a junior enginseer had taken shortcuts with the litanies. He glances around the compartment, seeing confused looks on the faces of everyone in the squad. Glancing at Symmone, he checks the stats of her vox-set. "See if you can get the pilots to repeat that!"

[20:41] <JasonGM> The trooper next to Mariel shrugs - apparently he didn't hear it either.
[20:42] <JasonGM> Symmone tries a few frequencies but doesn't have the correct Imperial Navy data.
[20:43] * @SergeantHolt glances around, but tries to look reassuring, even though its apparent that the Navy are the ones that malfed things up.
[20:43] <JasonGM> After a few more minutes of intense shaking, the shuttle lands with a violent lurch, slamming into the ground as it continues forward at an angle, suggesting that one of the landing gears has snapped. Gear is jostled about and debris flies around the cabin; several shouts and cries attest to injuries sustained by fellow platoon-members. As the ship finally grinds to a halt, the lights switch from red to white, and a green light illuminates the hatch, indicating that it is unlocked and may be opened.

[20:45] * @SergeantHolt hits the quick release on his harness with the correct Quick Release Litany and gets to his feet. "Grab your gear and go, grab your gear and go!" He gives the platoon something to follow as he grabs his gear and leads the way, waving waving his rifle. "With me, with me!"
[20:47] * Mariel would have likely been thrown onto the metal plating on the ground from the force of the aircraft's impact, were it not for the belts still keeping him seated. Reflexively grabbing at the straps to secure his position, a curse slips from his lips: 1"Damnation, what in the Emperor's name ..." 6Quickly, however, the men begin to rise as they are called to action, Jorus following suit.
