History:
*Kalta is just a bit over five feet tall and not much bigger around then a stick, weighing in at a whopping 110 pounds. The woman is clothed in dark red robes, still in good condition. The hood is up, obscuring most of her features within it's shadow but one thing that does stand out is the metal grill covering the lower half of her face, along with tubes coming from it and running who knows where beneath the robe. Once the hood is pushed back a little, it reveals a tan face with green eyes. Her blonde hair is pulled back out of the way, held that way by the robes.
Kalta grew up in the slums of Scintilla, Gunmetal City. Needless to say she didn't have the best start but she made the best of it. Her mother wasn't around much, leaving Kalta to her own devices. This wasn't a smart move. A child can get into a lot of trouble and eventually just disappear. The last part suited her mother just fine. If there wasn't a child to take care of, that was less responsibility, not that she really took care of her. Kalta was a smart girl though. She knew what she could and couldn't do, exploiting the former and working on the latter.
She, like so many others, joined a gang at the earliest age she could, just to have a family, and friends, that would actually look after her and who she felt safe around. One in particular stayed on her mind, but she hasn't seen for nearly five years, and that's Halo. She learned to use a gun, learned that killing was part of surviving though she never killed anyone. What she learned the most was how to fix the things that broke. How to make them work again, and she loved that. It was a natural ability for her and it isn't surprising that it was seen by those that would nurture it.
Kalta is a loyal girl, to a fault almost. She's also one that will follow anything that sounds appealing and the Tech Priests sure do have a good way of doing things. It appealed to everything Kalta loved. She was taken when she was fourteen years old, swept away to learn the ways of the Omnissiah, the great Machine God. The friends she had made in Gunmetal City weren't forgotten, they were pushed aside in her mind so that she could dedicate herself to her studies, to her work.
Callidon, an Omniprophet of the Adeptus Mechanicus, is someone that Kalta met on the forge world Idumea close to Cyprian's gate. She studied under him, and in reward for her hard studies, was able to procure her an Optical Mechadendrite for 30% off the total cost. Kalta and Callidon were fast friends. She trusted him because of the work he's done and his beliefs. They are so much like her own. Callidon's hard work paid off for him, and shortly before Kalta's departure of Idumea was promoted to Magos Errant. She had began work on a servitor, modeling it after the Praetorian, but with her work with the Inquisition, something that large wouldn't be able to go along with them. It carries her work on it's outer plating, the designs that took her nearly a month to complete, along with some of the inner workings. Callidon helped her with it, and promised to finish it and bring it to her since the =][= called her away before she was able to complete it.
